Ne Kongo West Midlands Evolution
Evolution of Ne Kongo West Midlands Activities since 2011.
Ne Kongo West Midlands is an association of nationals of the Kongo geo-demographic space, who, for some different reasons, have chosen to settle in England, in the administrative region (constituency) of West Midlands.
The major goal of this association is cultural :
- To promote the positive values inherited from our ancestors, including respect : "LUZITU" ;
- To contribute to the development of our native land as well as our home land ;
- To keep up the standards of our identity as Ne Kongo, a pacifist people ;
- To participate in mutual assistance of the members to comfort any way those who are struck by unfortunate events. In this regard, the watchword is summed up in this adage :
"MIKA MIE MBWA, MIE LEKILA KUMOSI, MIE VUMBUKILA KUMOSI."
This means : The hairs of dogs observe a mass movement at the rise of anger, as well as when cooling down, back to calm .
The Ne Kongo West Midlands association has been existing since 2011 and has survived the turbulence test . Among the achievements that serve as "landmarks" include the followings highlights :

History will remember that the Professor Emeritus ELUNGU PENE ELUNGU was one of the distinguished guest who had enhanced by their attendance the celebration of our identity, an opportunity to make ourselves known to the rest of the world.
This event was a maiden one in terms of the way it was organised. Hence, the Slogan issued by Dr Scope :
"NE KONGO THREE YEARS!
NE KONGO ALWAYS ONE STEP AHEAD! "

Social Program by Maman Mamie Tshanda :
1.To reach out all sensitivities, thanks to her assets as wife and mother, so as to bring back cordial agreement between all the brothers and sisters Ne Kongo.
2.To lead the association to find a mechanism to get back on board all the brothers and sisters who had lost their full membership status, following their non-compliance with their subscription commitments, thus becoming sympathetic members.
Meeting of March 05, 2016 :
- Presentation organised by the Management Committee with the participation as special guest, of Mr Jacques Matensi, in respect to his expertise in caritative organisation matter. The topic that the special guest has addressed is : "Charity", "Corporated Association", et "Unincorporated Association" .
Maman Mamie raised the inclusion issue in favour of brothers and sisters who appear to keep a certain distance from the commitment they had previously subscribed for; she created around her a climate of trust, thus allowing all the embittered fractions to make their voices heard; finally, she fought, even if she was not successful, to implement an approach similar to an amnesty scheme, in order to settle some arrears of our brothers - sympathetic members.
Under her mandate, a football team was formed and training sessions were organised. Unable to find amateur level opponents, it was deemed advisable to organise an AGAPE evening, to be held in the St Philips Parish hall in Smethwick, with a more noble objective than some mere rejoicing; much more, the evening AGAPE aimed for the reconciliation of the Ne Kongo with themselves.
In the end, Maman mamie Tshanda worked in line to our dear adage ideal: "Mika mie mbwa, mie lekila kumosi, mie vumbukila kumosi"
