Project Coordinator - Sessional Worker Opportunity

 

Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic, flexible, motivated self-employed multilingual speaker [French, English and Lingala] a sessional worker who can work independently and enjoy inspiring and organising our community wellbeing sessions. We are a community association based in Birmingham providing guidance, help and support to community members for the following groups:

  • Family with children and lone parents

  • Over 50s adults - some with challenging needs

  • People with low income

  • People facing barriers to integration

Job Purpose

  • To provide high-quality support services and organise sessions for community wellbeing to encourage people to socialise and reduce loneliness.


Duties

  • To make sure venues are secured and fully booked on time every month

  • To plan and coordinate activities for sessions

  • To plan and invite guest speakers

  • To plan and organise refreshments for participants

  • To gather, process and keep data for participants according to GDPR policy


Skills/Experience

  • Minimum of NVQ3 in relevant qualifications such as health and social care and community work.

  • Minimum of 1-year experience in a similar role


Start date / Hours / Pay

  • The start date will be the 1st of April 2022

  • Hours will be 18hrs per month for 12 months and £12/hour [Consultancy contract]
